Cumberland Road
Камберлендская дорога. Первая в США дорога, построенная на федеральные средства (отсюда ее другое название — Национальная дорога (National Road). Первый ее участок, от г. Камберленда в штате Мэриленд до Уилинга (Wheeling) на р. Огайо, штат Западная Виргиния, был закончен к 1818 г. Затем дорога прошла через Иллинойс и далее на запад, вплоть до Сент-Луиса на р. Миссисипи. Была основным путем передвижения переселенцев на запад и северо-запад.
